Actress-producer Drew Barrymore will star in DreamWorks Pictures' Date School, to which no director currently is attached.
The film, written by Abby Cohn and Mark Silverstein, centers on a woman (Barrymore) who is determined to find love but is lousy at dating. She then turns to a dating instructor for help.
Barrymore's "Charlie's Angels" co-star Cameron Diaz long had been courted to star in the project opposite leading men such as Jim Carrey, but those deals never came about.
