IGN Filmforce reports that Focus Features is going ahead on its George Reeves biopic Truth, Justice & the American Way, a biopic of late Superman star George Reeves. Allen Coulter (The Sopranos) will direct from a screenplay by Paul Bernbaum. Who are the favored contenders are for the lead roles?
After Hugh Jackman was forced to drop out due to a scheduling conflict, Focus Features is said to be considering another superhero star, Daredevil's Ben Affleck, to portray George Reeves. The 30-year-old Affleck is four years younger than Jackman. Both actors seem too young to portray the Superman-era George Reeves who died in 1959 at the age of 45.
